The demand for development, peace, and welfare-oriented leadership is growing stronger in Ward No. 5 of Haluaghat Municipality, with residents calling for honest, courageous, and humane representation for overall progress.
At the center of this expectation is Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, a well-known social worker and political figure in the area.
Kamrul Hasan has long been actively involved in supporting residents of Ward No. 5 in both good times and difficult circumstances. He has earned public trust by assisting the poor and vulnerable, addressing social issues, and participating in various development initiatives.
Politically, he has long been associated with the ideals of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), beginning his journey through student politics. Over the years, he has held important responsibilities at different stages of his political career.
He is currently a member of Haluaghat Municipal BNP, Joint Convener of Haluaghat Upazila Jubo Dal, and an executive committee member of the Haluaghat Business Development Association.
Throughout his political journey, he has faced various challenges. Local sources say that due to his active involvement in party politics, he has experienced multiple forms of harassment and obstacles over the past 17 years.
Alongside his political activities, he has continued humanitarian efforts and development work in Ward No. 5, standing beside underprivileged communities.
According to residents, his consistent engagement has established him as a people-friendly leader.
As the upcoming municipal election approaches, many residents of Ward No. 5 have openly expressed their expectations.
Locals believe that if elected, he will be able to contribute effectively to improving education, healthcare, communication systems, and social security in the area.
Kamrul Hasan said he has always worked alongside the people and remains committed to public service. He stated that service – not exploitation – is his only goal. He called on residents to support him in continuing development work and serving the people of Ward No. 5.
He added that he has consistently stood by the poor and vulnerable voters in his area and will continue to do so in the future. He believes that his dedication to public service has earned him the trust and love of the people.
He further said that if entrusted with responsibility, he will fulfill it properly and remain devoted to serving the public. He expressed his desire to contribute to the welfare and development of Ward No. 5.
Kamrul Hasan noted that even without holding the position of councilor, he has served the people, and if elected, he will have greater opportunities to do so. He sought prayers and support from residents of Ward No. 5 as a candidate for the councilor position.
